The Soul Syndicate Band has provided backing for records by Bob Marley and The Wailers, Toots and The Maytals, The Heptones, Burning Spear, Jimmy Cliff and many others. The film is unique in its blend of tension and relaxation and its movement between city and the country.

Jerry Stein went to Jamaica to make a movie from his own favourite reggae band The Soul Syndicate at 1979. One year after this document was shown in the USA Networks program called Night Flight. Stein directed, produced, cinematographed and edited the document by himself. After the premiere Word Sound And Power started to spread throughout the world from hand to hand among the hardcore fans. 25 years later document is officially re-published to cinemas and DVD. Today Stein is working in a sound department for movies and television programs.
