Superchrist from Helsinki Finland have been walking eleven years on their
very own path on the Finnish indie rock ground. With the release of their
third album "Rocket Science" in 2010, the band hit the road for a 15
concert tour. Backseat of the van, gas stations and the backstages of small
but legendary rock clubs are in the spot. In the spirit of a road movie,
the documentary enlightens a bit what it's like to tour with a Finnish
alternative rock band in 2010's. Their backdrop modeled after the classic
peace flag and the colorful band, although shot on black and white, are
telling it - loud.

Helsinki-based Superchrist is known for their unique rock sound, and three
acclaimed albums in a row (Colorgun, 2005, Surfing The Zeitchrist, 2007 and
Rocket Science, 2010). Vocalist-guitarist Mikko Lohenoja, bassist Minttu
Muranen and drummer Lassi Jokinen together make an energetic and virtuosic
power trio truly worth seeing live, and this road movie is in the front
row. Unconventional group shows that you may also take a visiting triangle
player with you, and still maintain your hard sound and rocking groove.

Mikko Lohenoja (b. 1982) plays also in Aero and Tundramatiks, and is also
well-known for his mixing work with various Finnish bands. For Superchrist,
he has directed 6 music videos, 2 studio documents and his latest work is
the road movie "Peace. Play it Loud." Lohenoja's style relies mostly on
editing to music rhythm. "I often edit also my documentary to the
background music, and maybe just by the audio track, which makes them look that way", tells Lohenoja. This is obvious, because his main job is in the
radio production. Cartoon and lo-fi -aestethics and 90's MTV's Alternative
Nation has influenced his works too. "On the video side, the most fun for
me is to just try new things, being independent, and challenging myself
with small budget but relatively big results", Lohenoja sums.
