Skatopia is a paradise for all crazy skaters. 88 acres of skatepark that could double as a Mad Max movie set, with its own rules and where anarchy and pure insane joy prevails. Brewce Martin began dreaming about such a place already in the late 70s, and finally built it in Rutherland, Ohio. Skatopia became famous when an episode of Viva La Bam was filmed there. Eventually the park ended up as the last challenge in Tony Hawk's video game Underground. The truth however, is far from video games.

Skatopia: 88 Acres of Anarchy has been edited together from 400 hours of footage shot in Skatopia. It is a crude, dirty and noisy portrayal of a renegade piece of skateboarding history. In addition to skateboarding, the citizens of Skatopia organise punk gigs, build ramps and destroy cars. The film is full of passion, adventure and faith in unrestricted freedom. At the same time it's utter murder and apocalypse, it's “some serious shit”. The film is a must for all lifestyle skateboarders.
