Documentary about Finland’s most outrageous movie star

Writer-director CHRZU has become known to film audiences also in Joensuu for his short films, such as Nightsatan and the Loops of Doom and the trilogy starring Carlotta Moore: The Contract, The Consequence and The Congregation. Now CHRZU has been let loose to make a feature film, and the result is something completely new.

Carlotta Moore and Me is a colorful documentary about an American film star who moves to Finland to act in the films of a peculiar Finnish director. What is true and what is fantasy? How does the relationship between director and protagonist hold together? As behind the camera, the documentary’s soundtrack is full of dubious characters from Turku, with music by Nightsatan, Black Totem and, of course, Carlotta Moore herself.
