All friends of glitz and glam, hear me out
Getting fired at fifty and suddenly having to reinvent your career and identity is tough for anyone – but especially for a Las Vegas showgirl. After 30 dazzling years performing at the Le Razzle Dazzle cabaret, Shelly finds out she’s being let go. Her adult daughter has drifted out of her life, and things aren’t exactly going great in the romance department either.

The Last Showgirl, directed by Gia Coppola, is a film about the importance of beauty, being seen, and the families we choose. Pamela Anderson delivers a raw and deeply personal performance as Shelly, a woman fighting against judgment and ageism. Alongside a bedazzled Anderson, the screen also sparkles with the presence of Jamie Lee Curtis, who’s enjoying a well-deserved golden era of her own.
