Frank is the event of the year in the world of music films. With its quirky atmosphere and absurd storyline, this Irish drama has enchanted audiences in film festivals all over the world. It is a charming story about an ambitious but slightly pseudo-artistic electro-pop group Soronprfbs. The band is led by Frank, a man wearing a giant fiberglass head that he never takes off. They recruit a new keyboardist, Jon, whose lack of musical prowess is compensated by his desire for fame and success. What happens when an outsider artist and a careerist collide? A year-long recording process of the debut album, mystical artistic experiments, and a gig at South by Southwest festival are just a few events worth mentioning.

More important than the actual plot is the congenial, mad, exhilarating spirit of the film, created by the director Lenny Abrahamson. You are offered 95 minutes of dark comedy and the question, €Are we allowed to laugh at this?€ Come and see for yourself.
