25 years of turbocharged punk mentality

When Fat Wreck Chords was founded, it wasn't done so that bureaucracy-crazed big shots in fancy suits could steal the money from poor artists. Oh no. Fat Wreck Records is a record label founded by “Fat” Mike Brukett from NOFX, and their basic principle has always been to work for the musicians.

Throughout their history, Fat Wreck Chords has been the oddball of the industry, working things out as they have gone along, but they have always taken care of their artists like family. The label is especially known for their “one record” deals, so that the artists can maintain their freedom.

The widely acclaimed documentary is a funny and quirky film about the black sheep of the music industry. Or how many documentaries have you seen where the talking heads every now and then have been replaced with hand puppets custom-made for the documentary?

The film skillfully profiles fat Mike and the band repertoire of Fat Wreck Chords, including names such as Against me!, No Use for Name and Propagandhi.
