Satanic Panic
Satan Wants You is a documentary about the shocking story of how a young woman and her psychiatrist helped ignite the global Satanic Panic with their bestselling memoir Michelle Remembers. The stories in the book relied on the discredited practice of recovered-memory therapy (RMT) to make lurid claims about Satanic ritual abuse of children. The panic that followed significantly targeted minorities, for example LGBTQ people, and led to destructive and exploitative cultural changes that have echoed for decades.

Short film Satan Calls Me is the Finnish take on the subject. This legendary documentary, which was widely shown in schools all over Finland, tells how an ordinary young person unwittingly gets involved in the activities of Satan worshippers. The film is based on ”the experiences of a girl who was involved in the movement”.
