In search of the essence of sound
Teemu Viinikainen is a talented Finnish jazz guitarist who has received international acknowledgement for his talent. Tommi E. Virtanen’s film Silence… and the birth of sound follows the building of Viinikainen’s new guitar. As the guitar is being constructed, Viinikainen talks about the birth of sound with actor Hannu-Pekka Björkman and the instrument master-craftsman Ari-Pekka Paasonen. As well as the birth of sound, the men talk about the healing power of music and the meaningfulness of silence.
