Rokumentti after movie is ready!

Thank you to all of you Rokumentti people!

For five days, the movie theater Tapio was filled with light, joy, love and friendships. Even the sun was seen in the sky. So, it's easy to say that Rokumentti was, once again, a beacon of light in the middle of otherwise grey November and hopefully brought hope to hopelessness. A great big thank you to movie-goers, volunteers, film makers, Savon Kinot and their lovely staff, but also to our partners: Karelia University of Applied Sciences, Karjalainen, PKO, Punamusta, City of Joensuu, Karjalaisen Kulttuurin edistämissäätiö and Vaganza! Without whom there would be no festival and November would be even darker. See you next year 13.-17.11.2019!

The film programme is out!

The program for this year's Rokumentti is ready and revealed. During the five days there will be altogether 42 full-length films covering music, violin playing, guitar heroes, green lies and almost everything.

The opening film is Jonas Åkerlund´s Lords of Chaos and the closing film is A ground-breaking film M by Anna Eriksson, most notably known as a musician in Finland

In this year´s films we meet stars like Eric Clapton, Mayhem, Whitney Houston, Silvana Imam, M.I.A. and Maria Callas.

The ticket sale opens on October 29st at 10 a.m. Savon kinot online store. Remember to buy your tickets well in advance, the seats are limited!

Hope/lessness – announcing the theme programme for Rokumentti Festival!

Whoopee! The fourteenth Rokumentti Rock Film Festival is held in November, and the theme this year is called Hope/lessness.

The theme programme offers hope in what seems to be hopeless situations or places. Check out the theme programme here. The full programme will be published in October. Tickets for screenings will be on sale on Monday, October 29.
